Who needs an emergency hotline?
An emergency hotline is increasingly demanded for the transportation of hazardous goods: Not only individual countries like the USA require an emergency response number in § 49 CFR 172.604.
The requirements of air freight companies from the IATA-DGR and those of shipping companies are also becoming more extensive. Many airlines demand the responsible provision of a continuously manned emergency hotline number following the US model. At the same time, it is expected that more countries and airlines will follow this example.
If, when required, there is no 24-hour emergency hotline number available, neither a shipping company nor an air freight company will carry out the transport. If an incorrect 24-hour emergency hotline number is provided or one that does not meet the requirements, this can lead to very high fines (from $50,000 onwards).

What is required to be able to use our 24-hour emergency hotline?
Current safety data sheets for the relevant products in your language and English. If there are no safety data sheets available, we would be happy to create them in cooperation with one of our partners for you.
What is the cost of the 24-hour emergency hotline?
You can book the 24-hour emergency hotline both on a per-shipment basis (for one-time use) and as a monthly/yearly flat rate. Prices are available upon request and depend on the number of shipments. We are happy to send you a quote along with our service description.
After commissioning, you only need the following points to be able to use our emergency hotline:
- Current and valid Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) as a PDF file (at least in English) of the hazardous material(s).
- The transport document of the respective shipment as a PDF file (Shipper’s Declaration or IMO Declaration)
If there are no Safety Data Sheets or IMO Declarations available, we are happy to create them in collaboration with one of our partners for you.
